My beautiful baby girl was born on 5/22 via emergency c section due to her non reactive heart beat .... On 5/21 at 9 I woke up for the day but had noticed that she wasn't moving a lot being that she had always been a really active baby I got super concerned ... So by 12 I went to L & D.... When I got there and told them the situation they placed me on the monitors being that I was over due they checked my dilation which pretty much stayed at a 3 the whole time I was there. When I went in this time my contractions were at 4-5 minutes apart . After being in labor and delivery for about 3-4 hours and no change in dialation they reached out to my doctor to see if she wanted me to go home. My doctor already had plans of induction on 5/26 so she get it was fine if I went home ... The staff at the hospital all advised me if things got worse or if contractions were stronger and baby was not moving they advised me to come back. So... Around 7:30 we were back in the same boat with her not moving but this time with much stronger contractions and no movement . At this point my doctor elected to have the staff keep me ... I had an epidural as soon as I reached 3 and a half cm ... And Ultimately around 5:00 with only being 3 and a half cm dilated they broke my water. I heard the hospital obgyn  say that she thinks I did actually have a leak and felt the hole in the sack .... As there was not much water left and the babies heart rate was still The same... Once water was broken they placed internal monitoring on her and my uterus to make sure they had a really accurate reading ... Shortly after there was still no change in her heart rate which stayed around 160 for her ... At this point my doctors acting obgyn came in and said we need to do a c section because I really think baby could not be getting enough oxygen etc.... He called my doctor and she agreed ... They took be back nearly right away and of course i was crying ... Once they got her out they noticed a weird odor coming from her water which indicated that there was an infection in the amniotic fluid and this is why her heart beat was not changing we were both placed on antibiotics and are perfectly fine at this time ...this is not how I envisioned My birth story but I wouldn't change it because we r both here happy and healthy and I am so in love with my baby girl Stevie Elaine 7 pounds 13 oz and 20 inches long . ❤️😍💋
