First time mum help! Is there anything I don't need to buy?

It's weird, I am always giving people advice about things like this, even though I don't have kids, I'm quite knowledgable about children. Now I am having my own, my minds gone blank!!!!

Is there anything that you found was s waste of money?

This is totally my opinion so take it as that!  Don't need: bottle warmer or sterilizer - just  boil water on the stove and drop bottles and nipples in for a minute or two once a week to sterilize. To heat up bottles for baby microwave a bowl of water to get it hot then drop the bottle in till it's warm. My bottle warmer just took up space in the cabinet. I used the things I already had on hand more! My most used and loved item was and still is (ds is 2 years old now & potty training) felt or fleece lined waterproof pads...I put them on and under EVERYTHING! They are great for cribs, changing tables, travel, anywhere you don't want a mess soaking through! Get a lot of them in all sizes!

I am on my third and all I want is a rock n play, a swing, a pack n play, a crib, a couple toys that hang down, car seat, snap n go stroller and some clothes/bibs. Most of that I already have or my sister just got done using. I had tons of baby stuff for my first two but I'm just over it now! And I think I'm going to rent the hospital breast pump because all the other ones I've tried sucked. Good luck and enjoy shopping!!
