Nuvaring- misshaped?

Has anyone ever had their ring fall out, and then you run it under hot water to clean it off and it becomes mishaped? I'm thinking I shouldn't put it back in

I think anything over 80 degrees releases the hormones, which is how it activates once inserted. Higher temperatures than body temperature might release hormones much faster. It may not be as effective now, so I would stitch to a new one asap.

You need to use Luke warm or cold water and reinsert. If you leave it our beyond the 3 hour window, your not protected.

I haven't used Nuvaring, but I know women who do, and I'm pretty sure you aren't supposed to wash it under hot water.
