The only way fat is made on the body is by excess sugar in the blood stream. That gets there from eating sugar and starches (starch turns to sugar the instant it begins to digest).
That being said, medications like birth control, and other health issues can make it hard for the body to burn and metabolize fat so it stores it easier. Which is why a lot of people gain weight when the start a new birth control. BUT, the fat can't have a hard time metabolising if it isn't made in the first place. It's always always always about the food you eat.

Birth control makes you want to eat more so if you eat more you will gain weight, it's in your control

If you are sensitive to an ingredient in it then yes you can. If you notice weight gain and haven't just been eating more junk or fast food then talk to your doctor and switch it.
