Jacuzzi...?

We're going on a baby moon this weekend and where we're  staying there's a jacuzzi. I've googled and asked and everything says I should not get in. My question is why? I just want to understand and not think it's only a myth... 😥

My doctor said as long as it's below 100 degrees it's okay! We have a hot tub and I've used it several time and baby is fine!

My Dr. Said no jacuzzi. You can basically cook your baby. It's just not worth it for me. Maybe dangle your feet (knees down) but I wouldn't submerge.

The hot water can cause baby to get too warm, the amniotic fluid needs to stay cool. Plus, the warm water will cause your blood pressure to drop making you dizzy and sick if you stay in too long. And the sound and feel of the jetted water against the belly can make baby agitated.....I have one and have noticed baby starts kicking and moving around a lot and then I start feeling slight cramps. I get in for about 5-10 mins and get out. Makes my back muscles feel better but I have to cut the jets off for baby.

It could be the temperature of the jacuzzi. They can get pretty hot and From what I know, you aren't even supposed to bathe in hot water cause it can induce labor.

It's the same as if you were to be ill and have a fever...your body temp will rise to an unsafe temp for baby.

I just went away and I would go into the jacuzzi for 5 mins max of it was on the hotter side. But we were able to a just the temp so we just made it a little cooler so I could enjoy it too. But when you start to sweat, get out.

My sister lost her baby 20+ weeks because she got a bacterial infection in a jacuzzi.

Its because the temperature is so hot it heats up your body which heats up the babys body and can have a megative effect on the babys blood pressure.  At least so i have been told. I would ask yiur obgyn what the safe temperature is and jist check the jacuzzi.  Not all run at the same heat
