I've had both good & bad run ins with the cops. But even when I'm doing nothing wrong (I speed sometimes & sometimes don't put on my seatbelt, but that's the only things I do "wrong" anymore), I still get nervous when they pull up behind/beside me. They used to harass me, by pulling me over when they ran my tag just bc I was on parole (nonviolent, not drug related) to the point where I have my car put in someone else's name so that when they run my tag it comes up a War Vets name. Btw, they never did anything but search my car when they pulled me over, I never got in trouble bc I wasn't doing anything wrong. They were just being petty!
