Ex wives Etiquette

Ok so my soon to be husband was married with children.  1). When he picks up his children , he stills goes inside the house and 2)the ex ask him for favors knowing he's in a relationship and we have a child together. Should I put my feet down or should I not think nothing of it because they have children together??
