Can you lift your toddler when pregnant?

Question

I'm 15 weeks. Can you lift your toddler when pregnant ?  One doctor told me yes but all my friends say NO. And I still haven't asked my new doctor as I will see him on Thursday. 
Toddler is 34 pounds.

I think so just listen to your instincts mama, I have an 8 month old so mine isn't as heavy and I'm 14w but maybe when we get to be 7-9 months we shouldnt lift by bending down to pick up. Congrats 🙌🏼

I've read that as long as you were doing it before pregnancy (which I would assume is the case here) then it's fine to continue. With my first pregnancy I found it to be physically impossible to lift more than 15-20 pounds the further I got in my pregnancy, even if i wanted to. It's pretty amazing how the body works.

I work at a daycare so I'm lifting kids all day long 😩 The one kid is 33 pounds and my doctor said its fine to lift him, it wouldn't do any harm to the baby! 😊

Yes. I am 13 weeks and I am still weight training 3-4x a week... My OB says it's perfectly safe. You just don't START a new lifting routine while you're pregnant.

I'm 13 weeks and my 3 year old son doesn't take no for an answer lol. He's 32 pounds and I pick him up and hold him all day 🙄😚

I do mine. Just not as much as I used to. I'm 17 weeks and having some not so fun back pain so I try to limit the picking up lol

I thinks it's just after 36ish weeks they tell you not to lift your older kids. But I'm probably wrong, I kinda forgot a lot since mine at 5&4 now and weigh like 36 & 40 lbs haha. My 4 year old still wants me to carry her all the time too. 😩

My doc told me I could lift weights so I don't see why lifting a toddler would be a problem, just don't push yourself to lift them and definitely don't if you're high risk.
