Period confusion!!

Hey very worried newbie here!!

So basically at the start of this year my periods got all screwed up... They were absolutely fine before! (My implant ran out in September- I haven't had it removed yet)

So my period now lasts for 4 days it's quite dark and light then everything stops and then 4 days later BAM I get a mahoosive period bright red/ very heavy and painful...

Anyone have any idea what's going on? It's happened 4 months in a row now!
