My son has had discolor my under his eye and around the nose and a whole bunch of red little bumps .. I went to the pediatric and was told it could be eczema but since it was by the eye she recommended I go to a dermatologist.. I couldn't get an appointment with the dermatologist until May 27.. So I went to pediatric again and this time saw another doctor and she said it was dermatitis... Today I had a nurse that comes by twice a month to see my son and help me with any concerns I have with him. I told her about his skin and she said it looked like a allergic reaction.. Today I get a call from the dermatologist office and I'm told I can come by today. So I went! I am still not sure I saw a dermatologist becauSe this lady was dressed like al the other nurses or whatever they are that take you to the room before the doctor comes in.. Anywho this lady  said that it looks like a heat rash.. Dermatologist recommended I put hydrocortisone below my sons eye. My son is 6 months.. I went to the pharmacy to buy hydrocortisone and the pharmacist told me "I don't know what dermatologist you went to but we do not recommend hydrocortisone for a baby's face" ... The pharmacist look at my son and said it doesn't look like a heat rash because it would be in other areas of the body and said it looks more like a allergic reaction.. She recommended I put a vanicream.. just a little bit around the affected area of my sons skin.. I ended up buying that and applied some already. Now my question is has anyone put hydrocortisone on a baby's face before ??? I'm so confused
