When is the best time to tell everyone?

I go in for my first appointment on Wednesday. I was thinking of telling people after that. Should I wait till I'm out of my first trimester? With my last pregnancy (ended in miscarriage) we told people right away. I feel like if I hear the heartbeat everything will be fine. What to do, what to do!?!

I told my family and a few close friends right away. I will tell extended family and friends after the first appointment. If you were to end up experiencing a miscarriage, I feel that it would be more helpful to have the people closest to you aware that you were pregnant to help you through the grieving process instead of having to face that alone.

I always say wait until 3 months ( you could tell a very close relative for support) but not everyone until that stage as its the higher risk stage

My parents, husbands parents and my siblings are the only ones that know. I am so like that too. I suck at keeping secrets! I was thinking of waiting till 10-11 weeks but I just feel that's TOO long! Lol..

That's up to you. Everyone is different. We told our parents and siblings two days after we found out. I'm 7 weeks now, and almost everyone in our life knows. We are not private people , it was REALLY hard for us to keep it a secret, and we wanted to share the news!
