Periods after having a baby

I just had my first child in August 2015 and my period has been pretty on and off real quick it's annoying! Before I had Elijah, my periods were irregular and every 2-3 months. Haha which is why I didn't find out I was pregnant until 4 months. Anyway, how are my period suppose to be after having a baby? Normal vs. abnormal.
