Camping with baby?

Question

Has anyone taken their baby (under age 1) out camping before? And by camping, I mean pitching a tent, eating over a fire, swimming in the river, hiking trails, etc. How old was your little one when you took them and what was your experience like? Also, was your baby fully vaccinated before you took them camping?

We actually just did! We have a 7 week old. We were in a camper, not a tent. I carried her around in her Tula while we went fishing. She slept almost the whole time. It wasn't difficult at all.

I haven't personally but me and my four sisters were all taken camping under the age of one and my parents said it was fine I think it's personal preference x

My sister did and the baby loved it :) I was there as I swear I've never seen a baby smile so much lol she bought everything she needed for bub. For sleeping she just brought a co sleeper. He was fully vaccinated.

I wanted to last year but we had a busy summer. I'm hoping we can go this year before baby number 2. My son will be about 16 months.
