Is 36 weeks to late to throw a baby shower?

My friend is throwing me a baby a shower and this is the only weekend we could agree on that suits us best I will be 35w 6d... Has anyone got one planned for this late on? Just hoping I will be fit enough to enjoy it on the plus side my bump will be huge! Any opinions welcome :).

Mines will be at 36w also.  Not going to lie,  I'm a little worried by it being so late

No I'll be 36 weeks too! I wanted to wait because then you only have a little bit left to go and you're surrounded with baby things you get to actually use soon instead of staring at impatiently

Ima be like 35 weeks for mine. So no. Plus it still gives us time to get what we need

I did my first at 36 weeks. And the second I'm doing at 35 weeks it's better. Because you don't have such a long wait until you can use it

My sister in-law had a shower at 36 weeks and it worked out perfectly.  We had a good time. Hope you have a wonderful shower😀
