ultrasound to check on my kidney 27 weeks

I have been having some horrible back pain around the area of my right kidney. I am currently 27 weeks and told my ob at my appt yesterday. He said that I do not have an infection but that he wants to have an ultrasound done, just to check on it for me. Do you think that because my OB ordered the ultrasound that they will take a glance at my baby boy by chance?! I can't help it I haven't seen him since 18 weeks and I miss him lol.
