Lifting equipment? 28w

Question

I'm 28w and work in a hotel. Now I've been told by someone who does my risk assessments not to lift anything at all. 
Then my manager says it's the most ridiculous thing he had ever heard? 
Can anyone tell me what the lifting rule is??

Lifting what? And how? Anything over like 15 pounds from the floor is the limit my doctor gave me and I'm not high risk in any way. But  you can do some lifting. Your manager is not a doctor and just because it sounds "ridiculous" to them doesn't mean that it isn't a real restriction or concern! Not eating deli turkey is ridiculous too but that's just part of this process! They legally HAVE to be accommodating to you (in the US) whether that's finding you a different role or approving your disability.

Well I "lift" my 3 yr old who is like 37lbs😁 on the regular. But obviously I was lifting him regularly before so it's not much different.

Im high risk and was told by my OB to continue to workout which includes lifting, deadlift, bench, over head press, etc. Modify and listen to your body. Talk to your OB.

There's not a rule exactly.... It depends on what you were doing before (and also how often..?)  But how heavy is the equipment ....? Is the risk assessment someone from your work?  What does your doctor say?

It really depends on your pregnancy and your doctor.  My first pregnancy  i had a 50 lb weight limit tell 30 weeks when it was 25lbs.

This pregnancy i am on a 5 lbs weight restriction. Same doctor just a higher risk pregnancy.

My doctor hasn't said anything about not lifting.  If you've been doing it all along it should be fine as long as baby is healthy.  Talk to your doctor.  And know your limits.  Get help if you need it!

Unless ur doctor has you on restrictions u can lift what u want. I did hospitality work while i was pregnant you know ur strength. Just be safe and take ur time.
