Salicylic Acid while pregnant?

I'm 11w1d and my skin is horrible. I bought acne cream today and the active ingredient is salicylic acid. My mom made me look up if it's safe during pregnancy and I've seen where it is and where it's not. Can someone please clear my mind up and tell me if it's safe to use or not? Lol

I used to use products with Salicylic Acid but switched to CeraVe that uses Hyaluronic Acid. My face has literally never been more clear.

It's not safe. Your skin will absorb the acid, and that specific acid can cross the placenta to your baby. Salicylic acid is not okay, but Benzoyl Peroxide is perfectly safe.

it's definitely okay in face washes/stridex pads that you use to wash your face with. it's a super small amount
