Car seat?! Help me!

Question

Not sure what my son weight or length is right now at 4month 12days but at 3 months we went to the doctors and he was almost 26 inches and almost 17 pounds which obliviously that was over a month ago...  his feet hit the back of the seag in the car and his head is way high up.. Question is does he need a new car seat? And what are good car seats ? Any good one that go into toddler to so I don't have to buy a new one again?!

When my son started outgrowing his infant car seat we bought a convertible one and just kept it rear facing. At 2 1/2 and in the 90th percentile for his age it still works great.

We have both a Graco and an Evanflo. The Evanflo is for my inlaws and I actually like it better then our Graco, it's also less expensive.

The feet thing isn't a problem, but if the head is close to the top you need a new one. The cosco brand makes cheap, safe convertible carseats.

It depends on the seat. I have the peg Perego 4.35 and as I raise the straps the head rest raises with it to keep the head rest a head hight. Also regarding the feet hitting the seat that does not matter at all they will find a comfy place to rest their feet up the back of the seat or crossed that sort of thing, they are safe with their legs like that.

I got the graco 4 in 1. I had the travel system too but at 4 months it was getting difficult for me to lift the car seat in and out of the car, with my back. The graco 4-1 can be used by a child up to 120 lbs, which is why I got it. I saw 3-1s for about $90 I think the brands are safety first and baby trend, mine was $299, but I wanted something that could hold weight since I know our child will be very tall.

Yes get a new seat. Infant seats only last a few months. Your best bet is to try a bunch in your vehicle. Not all car seats fit all cars. I've used a britax boulevard click tight from birth and I'll happily buy a second one for the next baby.

Yes get a convertible car seat there are lots of good ones out on the market unfortunately they don't stay in their infant carseat for too long I wanted to  get a convertible one from the start but I was gifted a travel system so I'm going to use it when the baby comes but still get a convertible one
