Black blood????

Question

So I recently got the birth control shot on October. I didn't have my period and then 5 days ago I was a wedding and I was drinking and little black blood showed up on my underwear. I figured it was my period I guess. Well still now it's completely blackish. And I'm kinda worried why its that color

Black blood while on birth control is actually very normal. :)

Googled, and found this for "black blood" in general:
"The color of blood is related to the amount of oxygen bound to the red blood cells. The more oxygen in the blood, the brighter red it appears. As oxygenation of the blood gets lower the blood gets darker and darker. Blood that you normally see after a cut is venous blood which has the lowest oxygen levels in the blood vessels. Occasionally in certain light, or if the oxygen level is very low, the blood can appear almost black."
