I know I'm having a let down when...
I exclusively pump, and sometimes if I'm on a schedule, I'll time my pump sessions. But most of the time I'll pump until I've had a letdown. And instead of starring at my poor nipples being continuously pulled into the flanges, I wait until I feel a letdown. My nipples feel itchy, and a few seconds later, letdown! What do yours' feel like?
