Daycare?

Question

Would you/do you put your child in daycare? I know there are a lot of pros and a lot of cons. I don't have a child, but I always thought I wouldn't put them in daycare because there's a lot of Germs and such. But now I work at one I think I would. I think it's good socially and developmentally. Like, the 2 year olds are learning sign language. What are yalls opinion?

I don't have kids either, but I always thought that if my partner was able to make enough income that it would be ok financially for me to be a stay at home mom, I would. At least until they start school. I grew up going to daycare every day and I would've much rather stayed home with my mom or dad.

I stay at home, so it'd make no sense to use a daycare, but if I were working I have no complaints against them. I've worked in one before, so I know what to look for and how to find a good one.

I would pry do daycare once they are like 1-2 but before that it will have to be very close friends or immediate family I think when. I have a baby I am going to be holding onto my baby for dear life lol my SO is barely going to get a chance to hold the baby

We decided to go with a family friend to watch our daughter. I was abused as a child and am not very trusting of people in general. Like I explained to my husband, how do I know someone isn't hurting her. She couldn't speak and tell me how her day was. So until my daughter learned to speak and communicate well with us we decided against it. Luckily the 2 different women I had watching my daughter after I had to go back to work were wonderful! I was lucky that they sent me updates and lots if pictures throughout the day. I work 12 hour shifts and struggled with going back after I had her. They made it slightly easier.

Yes I would it's very good for speach and interaction with other kids but I would wait till two, before that it's just germ invested and not good for them at all. Should be home with mommy!

I'm going to be staying home the first year after my baby is born. Once he/she is old enough they will go to head start or a preschool but I don't plan on putting them in a daycare prior. My child will have just as much socialization with children I know. I plan on doing certain classes an activities with my child too. I just think daycares are over priced an not enough supervision an some things can happen there and you may never know.

My husband and I both work and can't afford no to. So obviously we will have to use day care for our next baby. There is a Montessori right across from my office though so I think I will probably just use them so I can check on him/her or be right there if they needed anything at any time! I think it's good to build their interpersonal skills as well as building up immunities.

I don't have any kids yet, but I would put mine in daycare so I could work... The biggest issue is that it's so freakibg expensive it might be better to just not work at all... But I have a feeling I can find an affordable place when the time comes.
