Planning to be a single mother

I have been with my partner for about 8 years but we aren't married, now I am about 4 months pregnant with his child. I only have him as emotional support because I don't have much family here. I feel he isn't there for me emotionally and now I am considering to go on my own and be a single mother to my future baby. I am just wandering if it would be a good choice?
