My sister in law asked me if she could give him an actually bath rather than a sponge bath since his umbilical cord fell off but I'm honestly not sure cause there some still in there. What do you guys think?

No. And no it's not infected. It looks fine, but there is still a piece of cord in there and you dorm want it getting wet. So no not just yet. But it should come off very soon

It's still there, looks just like my sons did, it's still attached only part fell off, you need to wait a little longer.

We were told no too. Until it fell off. I'd  recommend here to give it another day or two to dry out more.

Well normally I would say yes because when the cord falls off the wound is usually healed but with there being a scab and discoloration then I would say no. The same thing happened to my daughter  except when hers fell off it actually bled a little from a small vein on the top. Doctor told me no baths until it's healed without discoloration. Took about a week and then it was fine. Doc told me it was because the cord fell off too soon.

Nothing I have ever heard of unless times have changed since I had my 8 year old!!
