Short cervix and positive FFN

So this is my first post on any site but I have time so why not. Just wanted to put my situation out there and see if any moms have something similar and some helpful advice?
I am 26 weeks 6 days  now. when I was I 26 weeks 4 days I had a scheduled ultrasound because they couldn't get good heart pictures at the last two ultrasounds. I go in lay on the table thinking nothing of it other than I get to see my little girl again 💞. So the first thing he sees is my cervix is short and that we have to do a vaginal ultrasound. He finishes checking the baby and she is great little but doing good. He does the vaginal ultrasound and my cervix is only measuring 1/2 a cm usually it is 3-4cm and 4 weeks before at my ultrasound it was at a 4. The doctor comes in checks me then said my cervix is soft and should be firm and I need to go to the hospital where I will deliver and be admitted. I'm balling at this point, scared and shocked. Get to the hospital get checked in get steroid shots and magnesium to be on the safe side as I couldn't have the FFN for another 24 hours due to having the vaginal ultrasound.
Anxious waiting on my bday no less. Finally we get the news at 9 pm the test came back positive and I will more than likely be in the hospital until she comes and have a high risk of having her in the next two weeks. Has anyone else has this and did they go past two weeks? And how did the baby do? I'm so scared for her and hope she stays as long as possible!!! Any advice helps!
