I'm throwing my baby shower August 6th and my due date is August 24th, am I cutting it close?

I'm doing the exact same thing. Our shower is Aug 6th I'm do the 26th. My 2nd child I went into labor the day after the baby shower (I think it was all the dancing LOL). But the night of my mom stayed up to wash and put all the gifts away, it worked out. I'm hoping it works out the same this time.

Mine is August 7th and I'm due the 30th!  I'm sure you will be fine!  Just make sure you have a place for baby to sleep and a car seat to take baby home and a few outfits!  You will be ok!  I don't think it's too close!

Personally that would be way too close for me. I like babyshower to be around 30 weeks. Im due august 6th and just had my baby shower today. And now i have at least a month and a half to get everything else i need for baby :) which i still feel like isnt enough time lol but honestly, to each their own :)

I would do it at least a month before you're due. Them you have the enery to return things and organize it all.

I have the same due date! Mine will be in July! The reason I wouldn't want to do it that early is incase you go into labor early. My friend sent out the cutest invites and she had to cancel it cause she went into labor early. They ended up sending out new invites 3 months later and did the shower then.
