Pack n' Play and crib? 🤔

Okay y'all, I need some help! My MIL offered to buy us a crib or pack n play, whatever we chose she would buy which we are so grateful for! But here's the thing - we originally decided on just a pack n play because some models come with the bassinet and changing area with them and they're space saving which I love the idea of but now I'm thinking long term wise that a convertible crib would actually be the best fit so we wouldn't have to put out a whole lot of money later when our boy gets big enough to outgrow the crib since we can buy the conversion kit for the crib. Should I put one or the other on the registry and which one would you put on the registry? There's a pack n play that goes with our theme but doesn't come with the bassinet or changing area and then I found an affordable crib and crib set that also goes with the theme.
