Ovulation pain-am I alone?

I've been having really bad lower abdominal pain when I'm ovulating every month. It lasts about 4 days, and sex around those 4 days can be excruciatingly painful. Does anyone else have this? I've read it's called 'mittelschmerz' or mid-cycle pain. Just wondering if I'm alone here..

No you are not alone it's very common ... I suffer from it too sometimes it's worse than a period pain I've had it for 3 days now it's slightly easing off but it's collaborated with a strong positive ovulation strip too so it's definatly that and I've had a slight pinky discharge too that's when you bleed a little when releasing an egg x

I have such excruciating pain when I'm ovulating. I can't even remove myself from bed, unless it's to lay in the tub. I have always been like this, it sucks but my S/O goes above and beyond with helping me during this time. He may not understand the pain completely but he does enough that he expects nothing from me when this time comes around. And I gat fully appreciate that. Good luck!
