Copper IUD help

So I know I should talk to a doctor (and I will) but I can't take birth control with estrogen because I had blood clots and stuff. Okay basically, my question is have any of you ever had an IUD specifically the copper one, and have you had any complications? I've heard it can lead to infertility and higher chances of miscarriage and I already have wayyy higher chances due to some stuff with my blood clots. Thanks ladies!
