Anyone experience this?

So I'm on the lowest possible dose of the pill because all the higher doses give me serious side effects. I've been on this new brand (LoLo) for 4 months now so my body should have adjusted. For the last two months I had spotting in the first week of my new pack. But the spotting could get heavy and I'd have cramps and so it was more of a period. Then when I'm on the sugar pills I'd get very light spotting. Has anyone experienced this? I've never had this issue with pervious pills and I can't see my doctor at the moment.
