Ditto what J said....I took the 3hr and crashed after the 3hr.  I'm also hypoglycemic (diagnosed 12 yrs ago) and felt like crap the rest of the day trying to get things regulated again.  I failed my 3hr and have an appt with a maternal fetal dr on.Friday.  I eat mainly healthy but do enjoy sweets this pregnancy but nothing out of control.  Ever since trying to follow a stricter plan with balancing proteins with carbs, I've felt awful!  This is my 3rd pregnancy and every pregnancy I have felt amazing bc my blood sugar levels even out.  Now they want to keep them so low that I feel sick and lethargic most of the time.

However, going off the diet will put me on meds and I will be "referred out" of my.midwife practice.  I refuse to take insulin or other pill type synthetic drugs simply bc a hugely carb filled unrealistic drink says my body can't cope.  Well adding insulin will cause more harm.thsn good both to myself and the baby bc my body tanks and their "diet" doesn't allow me to snack regularly to make sure I don't tank.  I'll go to my appt and then transfer out to a regular OB more than likely.  I'm still down 26lbs from.prepregnancy and don't retain water at all.  I'm not advocating to go against.your doctors advice AT ALL....only.you can know what's best for you.   But for me, after years of managing my hypo, I know my body very well and I'm not willing to add something to my body that will.make.things worse regardless of what the doctors *think* they know about me from an insane test.  OK I'm done ranting.

Thanks for the heads up. Please let me know what your doctor says. They called me with my results this morning and I don't even know what to do. I feel like I don't even eat much sugar? How did this even happen?!

I had a high 1 hour, took the 3 hour follow up test on thursday. I have an appointment this afternoon to get my results and speak with the doctor. I will warn you...I am hypoglycemic and I crashed hard after the 3 hour...maybe bring an OJ with you for afterwards.
