I feel like this is super common, especially in relationships where the couple has been dating a while. There's actually a lot of articles on why this happens, how to make it work, etc! The thing is, being in love is totally different from love. In love is a craving, a desire, etc. But love takes work. It's a commitment to being there for that person even when things are hard or maybe even boring. I would try to spice things up. But if a man isn't willing to love you, he shouldn't get to be in love with you either. It's fleeting. Love is hard work.

You can try to date and reconnect but it might just not be there for him anymore. That happens sometimes and it's hard, is he even open to trying to rekindle the love? Bc if he already has one foot out the door and isn't interested in trying there isn't much you can do.

No, I thought I could force my self to stay with someone after I fell out of love with them, but still loved them. I realized it's easier to let them go. Wasted three and a half years. For both our lives. It only brings the other one down.
