Dr Dilemma- need advice
A little background: I have gestational diabetes managed by insulin so baby is measuring quite large (greater than 10 lbs). I am scheduled for a c section on June 9, when I will be 39.5 weeks. Natural birth is not option, so no haters, please.
So today I went for a growth scan and the obgyn who does the ultrasounds (different than the OB delivering me) told me
I should be going in for a c section much sooner than my primary OB wants to do the c section. The ultrasound dr is a high risk dr who wants me to deliver this Thursday or Friday because of concerns my amniotic fluid to baby ratio is going to drop too low. The OBs cannot seem to agree so my date has not been changed yet. I don't see my primary OB till Friday. What would you do?
