Uhhhh!! Anyone else??

At 36 weeks 4days I had some real contractions with 8 min in between but stopped after 7 hours. Then at 36 weeks 6 days until now (3 days later) I've Been having Braxton hicks irregular of course!!!! Is this anything ??? My dr today said what I had last week is very common w ladies who have their babies 2 weeks from that time so to date two weeks from then and bet we have us a baby... ? Anyone else know of this?
