So uncomfortable...

38 weeks today. I lost my mucus plug this morning. I started out with contractions that were 1 hr apart, then 30, 20, 15, 10 and now they're 7-8 minutes apart. They are soooo painful, it feels like my pelvis is trying to rip where it attaches to my sacrum. My OB wants me to wait until they're 5 minutes apart before I make my hour long trek to the hospital. Any suggestions on how to cope with the pain until then?
