Braxton hicks??

This is gonna sound so dumb omg

Okay so, how can you tell the difference between Braxton hicks and gas?

A few days this week I have been feeling really crampy along my long lower abdominal/uterine area, it stretches across my stomach and only lasts for less than 20 seconds than goes away, I don't have to fart (omg I'm so embarassed) after but it's kind of the same feeling as having a painful gas bubble...I'm a FTM so I don't know what Braxton hicks are supposed to feel like

My stomach gets really hard and tight and I have cramps in the upper part of ny stomach and it usually lasts for about 15-20 seconds.

They usually last about 15-30 seconds and your abdomen becomes hard as it tightens. It's not Isi fun but more so uncomfortable. In my experience gas is usually felt higher up in the chest and is a little painful at times almost with a slight stingy feel.

Braxton hicks are practice contractions. They aren't supposed to hurt at all but they do make your stomach rock hard and tight. Gas would be cramping pains,bloat and maybe back ache depending on how gassy you are.
Try going on your hands and knees and rocking back and forth deeply. The pressure from the rocking should help your stomach muscles move the gas down to give you some relief.

I was told that when you get Braxton Hicks, they'll make your stomach tighten so much that it'll feel about the same as your forehead does in regards to hardness. I'm not sure if that's true or not though. I'm 25 weeks in and still don't think that I've experienced any yet.
