my ex best friend is now engaged to the man I was with for 4+ years and talking about marriage with. it happened while we were talking about getting married and together. because of this experience I honestly don't think friends exs/crushes should be an option. it sucks.

No because I dated this guy and we broke up (we felt we'd just be better as close friends) and his dating my best friend now and they are happily together and I'm very happy for them.
