smoke during pregnancy?" /> I have a friend who is 2 months pregnant. She still smokes, not as much as she used to, but still smokes. Has anyone smoked during their pregnancy and did you have issues during or after pregnancy? I know quite a few people who said oh, no big deal. I smoked all nine months and there was nothing wrong!

My mom smoked her whole pregnancy and I was LOUSY with earaches, double ear infections, asthma, ADHD and the like as a child. I grew out of most of that but still, there seems to be corrolation between smoking mothers and children with chronic ear infections.

My friend kept smoking because her doc told her not to quit cold turkey but to durasticly limit her intake. Her baby was born healthy but it would twitch. It went away but the baby is too young to determine if anything else is wrong. Doc said it was from the nicotine though.

When you smoke you actually cut off the air supply to your baby. Also the chances of SIDS raises quite a bit for mothers who smoke, low birth weights, and some others. Why chance it?

I smoked my whole first pregnancy. Though I cut back drastically. My daughter is healthy (: she's is going on 16 months old and has never even had a cold. Though sometimes other babies are not so lucky.

I had a friend who was pregnant with twins- she told me she quit smoking. One died and that caused her deliver 10 weeks early.

It's hard to stop . And most doctors will stay to cut back and try to stop but not to do it cold turkey cuz that could affect the baby too ... If u can stop great if u can cut back great ...
