Ultrasound pics?

So im 7MO and during my doctors appt. Out of all of my appts and still going, only twice of those appts ived gotten ultrasound pictures. When i go in my  doctor checks the heartbeat and measures my belly only. Am i supposed to be getting more ultrsound pics? I mean i have a couple. But I'd thought ultrasound pics were every certain month or am i wrong?

Unless medically necessary, my doctor only does them at 9,20,36 weeks. I only have heartbeat and fundal measurement at each appointment. Not even pelvic exams. All doctors (and insurance coverages) are different unfortunately. My best friend got a 3D ultrasound every appointment. I was so jealous.

A healthy normal pregnancy is just really the 20 weeks, maybe a dating scan, and possibly a late 3rd trimester scan too. Totally normal for a monthly appt to just be fetal tones and your stats.

My doctor will give ultrasound pictures every appointment you go. She tells you this at your first appointment. Maybe it's just your doctor.

High risk pregnancies and concerning matters are reason for extra ultrasounds. Typically you only get 2-3 ultrasounds with a normal pregnancy. When I was pregnant with my son I chose to pay out of pocket to have a 3D done. This time I'm considered high risk and have to have ultrasounds every other week until my first trimester is over then switch to monthly.

I just went in for my last ultrasound yesterday for 20 weeks. This was my second one. I asked if I would be getting any more and they said not unless there was a medical reason. I'm kinda bummed I won't see my little guy again until he's born but it's a good thing if he's doing perfectly fine enough to not need another ultrasound.
