Induction

I am getting induced in 5 days at 39 weeks because my doctor is going out of town and I really want her there.. I am beyond scared to the point of having panic attacks.. I am a first time mom and have no idea what to expect. Im only 1cm and my cervix is still kinda thick.. I have to go in at 3pm to get a pill put in my cervix for 12 hours.. If that doesn't work I have to get patosin. Can someone please give me some words of advice and encouragement. Im really really scared
