Bruise?

I felt this spot on my inner thigh starting to hurt, I felt around and came across a lump and I got my bf to check it out, this is what he saw. I know it's a bruise but I'm not sure how it got there and if the lump underneath is anything serious? Help

I had the same thing, the lump under the skin of mine was at least the size of a golf ball. I was worried it was a lymph node so I saw my doctor, and it was blueish on the outside like a bruise, it turned out to be a fatty cyst, I have to have it removed in a couple days. Don't try to squeeze on the lump, my doctor told me they are caused from a hormonal imbalance, but I won't know for sure until it's removed and tested. I'd have your dr check it out, especially if it keeps growing. Mine did, that's why I had it looked at.

If it's a bad bruise it could be something called a Hematoma, it's when your blood clumps together in a bruise, eventually it dissolves away as the bruise goes away. However, if it doesn't go away soon, you may want to contact your doctor.

It might be an ingrowing hair, I get them sometimes and they usually go away by themselves or come up in a head like a zit. If you're really unlucky they can get infected so keep it really clean and go to a doctor if it keeps getting bigger.
