I had a miscarriage,dates are off?

Question

I had a miscarriage on March 12th, 2014. 
​My husband & I were devastated bc we wanted a baby so bad. I put my miscarriage on my calendar as a "period" from the first to the last day leading to its completion. 
​How will this affect my 'fertile' days & how do i properly compute an actual period or does that count as a period? ​

​I have absolutely no idea if I ovulated that month, as I've heard that sometimes you don't ovulate the first month after a miscarriage. I'm not sure how true that is though.

Hi. Firstly you have my deepest sympathy. Having a miscarriage is probably one if the worst things a woman can through. I recently had a miscarriage and thought I'd share my experience since to hopefully answer some of your questions.

​On the 15th Feb I started to experience light bleeding and cramps. Had a scan 2 days later and found that my baby never developed past being an egg and yolk sack. I was sent home to wait for my miscarriage to progress natrually. From then on I continued to have light bleeding until on 25th Feb I started to experience extremely heavy bleeding and ended up at hospital. At this point I think the sack passed.

​From then the bleeding does down until it completely stopped a week later. I used the date that I had the heavy bleeding to calculate the start of my 'period' as I imagine this was the time when my hormones had dropped enough for my body to realise it wasn't pregnant, and on 26 March (29 days later) I started my period.
