5 days late but a negative test?

I'm 5 days late on my period and I took a pregnancy test, it came out negative. I'm confused because I've had a late period but not THIS late. I'm not TTC, so if my test is a joke I'd be pretty upset. What should I do?

Are you sure you ovulated? If so, then wait 2 more days and retest. 7 days after a missed period with a bfn means (unfortunately) that there is a 99% chance you are not pregnant. If you don't know for sure that you ovulated, you may have just ovulated later than you think and aren't even *late* yet. I think the only thing you can really do is wait :(

This just happened to me I was four days late which has never happened I took 2 test they both said Neg. I started on the fifth day. My doctor said the length between my periods could start to change were the north control is getting out of my system. If this isn't the case for you it may be to soon for a positive to pick up on a pregnancy test. Two weeks after intercourse date it should show up. That's what my doctor told me .

I just had the se thing. My first 2 pregnancys both came out positive by 2 days late... Finally after 8 days o just got a positive for baby #3 after 3 negative test.

Relax and take another test in a few days.

There are lots of things that can make your cycles late. My last one was 69 days!
