Dates only go up to 40 weeks?

Liz • 25, pregnant for the first time.

I love the Glow nurture app, and the daily articles, but as my due date approaches (40wks on Wednesday! Eep!) I have noticed that the calendar doesn't seem to go past my due date?

This just seems odd to me, since it is reiterated in many of the articles linked to by the app, that normal gestation can be from 38-42 weeks.

I have noticed that many of the women on here are from the US, and that it seems more common to schedule inductions and c-secctions before their due dates. Here in Australia (and it would seem in Canada and the UK also) unless your pregnancy is high risk, we aren't offered assisted delivery options until we're at least a week past our due dates.

What will happen to my calendar/home screen if (probably when) I go past my due date on Wednesday?

Once you get to 40 weeks it shows how many days past your due date you are. Then once bubs is born it shows how old bubs is.

I was due yesterday too and theres no sign of her. Whilst aome articles annoyed me in the past now that we get none due to being overdue i kind of miss them. Surely there is still relevant "your baby today" info out there instead of us onky being able to see how many days overdue?

Yea it's strange. It's totally normal to go even two weeks post this!
