BC preferences?

I'm a newlywed and my husband and I are planning to hold off on trying to conceive for a couple of years. I'm currently not on any form of BC but in the past I took the pill. I'm wondering what others' preferences are besides the pill? Any insight?

I don't like putting hormones into my body and they haven't proved it's not linked to breast cancer so I'm sticking with condoms.

The mirena IUD is awesome. Very low pregnancy rate even without condom, painful to get in, but so worth it. I feel safe having sex knowing this is protecting me. Gave me unpredictable periods at first but eventually they got worked out

Condoms here also. For a while we tried the rhythm method, but my cycle was too unpredictable for it.

I'm on the pill currently. But I loved depo, the shot. You're good for three month straight! Barely got a period, which was great. But you can only be on it for 5 years at a time, so I switched to the pill for a year. Then I'm going back.
