Why???

So I got sexually assulted in August by my friend and my bf was pissed but I can't seem to forget about it and it's making me cry myself to sleep and im only happy when im with my bf. Why?

Who told you it was too late to report? The limit of statute for sexual assault is like 10 years in most places. I'm so sorry you had to go through that. You need to speak to a professional though to help you grow past it hun. I know it's hard but it sounds like it's haunting you. Please take care of yourself and do your best to get the assistance you need.

You could be suffering from PTSD, which can be helped with therapy. You could also speak with your doctor about anti anxiety meds, especially if you're not ready for therapy yet.

I would advise you to talk to somebody about it..please don't keep this to yourself. If you can't talk to your family or friends a crisis team can be of support to you at this difficult time.

This is an incredibly difficult thing. You can only do your best to care for yourself. If you need support, you can always find a local crisis line to call someone who will be supportive.
