Incentive

Co
Hey! I was wondering about it and I thought I'd ask here, would you support an incentive esqu system where people are rewarded for not having children?
I know that sounds weird and your first thought is "they should be avoiding pregnancy if they don't want a kid anyways", but sadly unplanned pregnancies, for all sorts of reasons are still happening.
So if something was proposed that gave a small allowance, of sorts, to citizens that practiced safe sex and avoided pregnancy, would you support it? Yes the "allowance" comes from taxes. Nothing is free after all, but would you support it and pay that tax if it meant decreasing the number of unplanned pregnancies and therefore decreasing how many terminations take place?
And you also benefit from those too. So if you're currently avoiding pregnancy let's say the allowance is $400. Your tax wouldn't be all that huge at all. A few dollars tops. So you just made way more than what you paid as tax.
Obviously it'd have to be way more in depth than the bare minimum I've described. It could work the same the other way too. Like the topic of Canada and giving 800 dollar monthly allowance to families.
So if people do find themselves pregnant it's not quite so daunting of a challenge to keep the child. I know financial aide exists but it's difficult to qualify for. My mom has three kids and a shitty job and was still making more than what was needed to qualify yet we were broke as can be and struggling.
Obviously this isn't a be all end all for termination which I'm not proposing it as such, but if it was implemented on a small scale and did decrease the number of abortions would you support it being applied on a grander scale as a way to decrease rates?
So the answers are
Yes you would support an incentive system
No you wouldn't support an incentive system
Let me know if anything is particularly confusing. It's 3 a.m. So I'm probably not 10/10 as far as forming coherent sentences goes.
