Do I have to start my birth control patch on a Sunday or how does that work? I got the patch from my doctor today and I wasn't sure when I needed to start on it.

As long as you're starting it on a day that you'll be able to remember to change it you can start on any day. If you start at the same time as your period you're protected right away, otherwise wait 7 days before having condomless sex.

I was on the patch for a month and I had terrible side effects. It was easier for me to remember taking if I did it on Sunday. It's really just whenever you can remember to take it off and put a new one on! Hope this helps!

The Sunday following your period is what I thought like if your period started Thursday that Sunday but google it I can be wrong it's been awhile since I had the patch btw I loved it
