In February, my husband and I had a MC. I was seeing a midwife who I have been seeing since I was 16. However, she can't deliver babies anymore from my understanding due to laws being changed, she needed to take more courses, but is old enough to be ready to give up deliveries/being on call all the time. But she would do my pre and post-natal care. I knew from the beginning I would go to her when I got pregnant. After I miscarried, my mother-in-law decided to ask my husband why I was seeing this midwife and went on to tell him "she can't even deliver babies..." I think they both wanted to blame the MC on something and this was it. My husband didn't care about who I was seeing until his mom brought this up. Well, I'm pregnant again and going to communicate this better with my husband this time around, but I'm just curious who you all think should have most say in OBGYN and prenatal care? ***NOTICE: Mother in law is NOT an option 😂
