No epidural with induction?

Question

Is it even possible or is the pain just too much? I've had a natural unmediated birth and am hoping to be able to do it again. Just in case I have to be induced, I want to know the truth.

It is possible I was Induced with both my other kids and I did not have any pain relief at all. It's very hard and the contractions are way worse but you can make it through and do it.  It was such a relief when they were finally here and the pain was gone and I did it. So worth it to me.

I was induced with my 2nd baby with no epidural. My water was broken but nothing was coming of it so I was given potocin. I however was given a sleeping pill to sleep in between contractions bc my Dr new how tired I was getting and would still get. Yes it was more painful, I would rather have no induction but you do what you have to do. Pain is only temporary and the joy of holding your new one is what kept me going.

Just make sure you are well rested. I made it 7 and a half hours but my body and mind was overly tired due to not sleeping well the two previous days before my induction. I was told I wasn't going to dilate anymore until later in the next day and so I got an epidural. I have heard that it's so much different having natural labor rather than induced labor. I'm hoping to stick to my birth plan this pregnancy and not get the epidural. Also listen to your body, relax completely and let yourself open up (literally) good luck to you

My friend just had a gentle induction where they started pitocin very slowly. She did have something to sleep for a couple hours but did not get an epidural.

It's very possible. I've heard of people going without an epidural with pitocin inductions.
I personally had an unmedicated induction, but my waters only needed to be broken. No pitocin, no foley bulb, etc.
