Hi!

Anyone have experience with the mini pill (jolivette/micronor)? I just started 8 days ago at my 6 week postpartum appt. I'm taking it because my midwife recommended it since I pump twice a day. The package insert said after 48 hours (3 pills) it's effective. But I started having ewcm and have for about this whole past week, and now I've started spotting today. I know that birth control can cause spotting, but I'm just worried that since I had fertile mucus, i could have gotten pregnant. Then I read that the mini pill doesn't stop ovulation in everyone.

What are your thoughts on the mini pill? Should I be more worried that I have ovulated? And if I don't get a period, when should I test? Because I haven't bled after the postpartum bleeding stopped so I don't have a baseline! Anything is helpful!
